Thread Privacy Policy

Thread is a reflection application developed and operated by Pearl Quest, LLC (“Pearl Quest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

We are committed to minimizing data collection and handling user information proportionately to how the app functions.

Users may:

• Create an account using a username and password
   
• Continue as a guest without creating a permanent account
   
• Use a demo account for evaluation purposes
   

Passwords are securely hashed before being stored. Thread does not collect email addresses as part of account creation.

Thread stores:

• Username (for registered accounts)
   
• Reflection entries created by the user
   
• Optional cost tracking information (time, energy, money)
   

Each reflection entry is associated with the account or guest session that created it.

User accounts and reflection entries are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted within Thread’s infrastructure environment.

Thread does not:

• Access financial institutions
   
• Collect bank account numbers
   
• Collect credit card numbers
   
• Collect financial login credentials
   

Thread operates independently of external financial systems.

We do not sell personal information.

Reflection content is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We may use infrastructure providers solely to operate and maintain the app.

If enabled, notifications are used only to deliver reminders within the app.

We take reasonable measures to protect stored information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting:

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Thread is not intended for individuals under 18.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
